Privatlivspolitik for ebrary

ebrary er en app, hvor du scanner dine bøger til dit eget virtuelle bibliotek, vælger den stil det vises i, og kan gå på opdagelse i andre menneskers biblioteker. Denne politik forklarer, hvilke oplysninger vi behandler, hvorfor, og hvilke rettigheder du har. Dataansvarlig er udvikleren af ebrary. Spørgsmål? Skriv til staffnwork@gmail.com.

1. Hvilke oplysninger vi behandler

Konto: et anonymt bruger-id oprettes automatisk. Vælger du at gemme dit bibliotek, tilføjer du en e-mailadresse (bekræftet med en engangskode). Vi bruger ikke adgangskoder.
Profil: visningsnavn, by og land (kun grov placering — aldrig præcis GPS-lokation), profilbillede, en fri "Mere info"-tekst, valgt biblioteksstil samt om din profil er offentlig eller privat.
Dit bibliotek: de bøger du tilføjer (titel, forfatter, ISBN, omslag, genre, forlag/kolofon, noter) og billeder, du selv uploader af dine bøger.
Socialt: venneforbindelser, notifikationer (fx når nogen kigger i din reol), samt rapporter og blokeringer.
Teknisk: minimal drifts- og fejldata, der er nødvendig for at appen fungerer.

2. Hvorfor vi behandler dem (retsgrundlag)

For at levere appen og dens funktioner (opfyldelse af aftale).
For at gøre din profil synlig for andre — kun hvis du aktivt slår offentlig profil til (samtykke; slået fra som standard).
For at holde tjenesten sikker og overholde lovkrav (legitim interesse / retlig forpligtelse).

3. Bogormen (AI-funktion)

Bogormen er en valgfri AI-hjælper. Kun når du udtrykkeligt trykker "Ja", sender vi bogens titel og forfatter (og evt. ISBN) til vores AI-udbyder (Anthropic) for at finde bog-information. Vi sender ikke dine personoplysninger, og svar caches, så samme bog ikke slås op igen. Du kan bruge appen fuldt ud uden AI.

4. Deling med tredjeparter (databehandlere)

Vi sælger ikke dine personoplysninger. Vi bruger betroede leverandører til at drive tjenesten:

Supabase — hosting, konto, database og billed-lagring.
Anthropic — AI-svar til Bogormen (kun bog-data, ved samtykke).
Open Library og Google Books — opslag af bogdata ud fra ISBN.
Expo / EAS — app-builds og opdateringer.
Brevo — udsendelse af e-mail med engangskode.

Aggregeret, anonymiseret statistik (fx populære bøger eller tendenser), der ikke kan henføres til dig, kan bruges til at forbedre og videreudvikle tjenesten.

5. Offentlig profil og synlighed

Din profil er privat som standard. Slår du den offentlig til, kan andre brugere se dit navn, by/land, din valgte stil, din "Mere info"-tekst, dine bøger og de billeder, du har lagt op. Du kan altid slå den fra igen i Profil.

6. Moderering

Du kan rapportere stødende indhold og blokere andre brugere direkte i appen. Rapporter gennemgås, og indhold eller konti kan fjernes ved overtrædelse af vores retningslinjer.

7. Slet dine data

Vi opbevarer dine oplysninger, så længe din konto er aktiv. Du bestemmer selv over dine data og kan slette dem på to måder:

I appen (med det samme)

Slet enkelte bøger med papirkurv-ikonet i Samlingen.
Fjern billeder, du har uploadet, på bogens side.
Ryd din "Mere info"-tekst og dit visningsnavn i Profil.
Slå offentlig profil fra, så intet er synligt for andre.

Hele kontoen og alle data

Skriv til staffnwork@gmail.com med emnet "Slet mine data". Vi sletter din konto og alt tilknyttet indhold — profil, bibliotek, billeder, noter og e-mail — senest 30 dage efter din anmodning. Anonymiseret, aggregeret statistik, der ikke kan henføres til dig, kan blive bevaret.

8. Dine rettigheder

Efter gældende databeskyttelsesret (bl.a. GDPR) har du ret til indsigt i, berigtigelse af og sletning af dine oplysninger, samt til at gøre indsigelse og til dataportabilitet. Skriv til os for at gøre brug af dine rettigheder. Du kan også klage til Datatilsynet.

9. Børn

ebrary er ikke rettet mod børn under 13 år (16 i visse lande). Vi indsamler ikke bevidst oplysninger om børn under denne alder.

10. Sikkerhed og internationale overførsler

Adgang til data er beskyttet med adgangskontrol på rækkeniveau, så du kun kan se dine egne (og offentlige) oplysninger. Nogle leverandører behandler data uden for EU/EØS (fx i USA) under passende garantier.

11. Ændringer

Vi kan opdatere denne politik. Væsentlige ændringer varsles i appen eller her på siden, med ny "senest opdateret"-dato.

ebrary Privacy Policy

ebrary is an app where you scan your books into your own virtual library, choose the style it's shown in, and can explore other people's libraries. This policy explains what information we process, why, and your rights. The data controller is the developer of ebrary. Questions? Email staffnwork@gmail.com.

1. Information we process

Account: an anonymous user id is created automatically. If you choose to save your library, you add an email address (confirmed with a one-time code). We do not use passwords.
Profile: display name, city and country (coarse location only — never precise GPS), profile picture, a free "More info" text, chosen library style, and whether your profile is public or private.
Your library: the books you add (title, author, ISBN, cover, genre, publisher/colophon, notes) and photos you upload of your books.
Social: friend connections, notifications (e.g. when someone views your shelf), and reports and blocks.
Technical: minimal operational and error data needed for the app to work.

2. Why we process it (legal basis)

To provide the app and its features (performance of a contract).
To make your profile visible to others — only if you actively enable a public profile (consent; off by default).
To keep the service safe and comply with the law (legitimate interest / legal obligation).

3. The Bookworm (AI feature)

The Bookworm is an optional AI helper. Only when you explicitly tap "Yes" do we send a book's title and author (and ISBN, if any) to our AI provider (Anthropic) to find book information. We do not send your personal data, and answers are cached so the same book isn't looked up again. You can use the app fully without AI.

4. Sharing with third parties (processors)

We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted providers to run the service:

Supabase — hosting, accounts, database and image storage.
Anthropic — AI answers for the Bookworm (book data only, with consent).
Open Library and Google Books — looking up book data from an ISBN.
Expo / EAS — app builds and updates.
Brevo — sending one-time-code emails.

Aggregated, anonymised statistics (e.g. popular books or trends) that cannot be linked to you may be used to improve and develop the service.

5. Public profile and visibility

Your profile is private by default. If you make it public, other users can see your name, city/country, chosen style, your "More info" text, your books and the photos you've uploaded. You can turn it off again anytime in Profile.

6. Moderation

You can report objectionable content and block other users directly in the app. Reports are reviewed, and content or accounts may be removed for violating our guidelines.

7. Delete your data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You're in control of your data and can delete it in two ways:

In the app (instantly)

Delete individual books with the trash icon in your Collection.
Remove photos you've uploaded from the book's page.
Clear your "More info" text and display name in Profile.
Turn off public profile so nothing is visible to others.

Your whole account and all data

Email staffnwork@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data". We will delete your account and all associated content — profile, library, photos, notes and email — within 30 days of your request. Anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot be linked to you may be retained.

8. Your rights

Under applicable data protection law (including the GDPR) you have the right to access, correct and delete your information, to object, and to data portability. Contact us to exercise your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

9. Children

ebrary is not directed at children under 13 (16 in some countries). We do not knowingly collect information from children below this age.

10. Security and international transfers

Access to data is protected with row-level security, so you can only see your own (and public) information. Some providers process data outside the EU/EEA (e.g. in the US) under appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, with a new "last updated" date.
